Honey and Sesame Chicken Wings

Chicken  is such a versatile meat you can bake it make gravy or soup or even shred it into a pattie or pie. Chicken is packed full of lean low fat protein. Chicken is also high in tryptophan. Tryptophan is considered as an essential amino acid because our bodies can't make it.

I have seen recipes of sesame chicken wings that are deep fried. I am not saying that I don't eat fried food. I  also love fried food but try to limit my intake to once or twice a week. So today  I have baked this chicken The chicken sesame combo not only tastes great but is also very healthy.

The honey and soy sauce make a nice glaze, while sesame seeds impart a nutty flavour to the wings and carry a bonus of health benefits too. I like to serve mine with a Mixed Vegetable Side Dish or potatoes.

To prepare the sauce place all ingredients except the honey and sesame seeds in a pan and cook till it starts to thicken, add honey and cook for a few more minutes until smooth and glossy. Add sesame seeds stir and remove from heat.

Put the sauce over the chicken legs to fully coat them. Once again, place in the oven for another 20 minutes till all the sauce is fully absorbed into the chicken and the chicken is soft and tender.
